  Is Field Service Going To Be The Key To The End Of The WatchTower Society?

  for the past 6 months i have been speaking to church and youth groups in the surrounding area.

  the topic has been how to show love to the jw's when they come to your door.

  in the past, many of the people i talk with have been rude to the jw's.

  i was trying to fade, and thought i had done so successfully for the past 18months.. i have just received a call from my dad saying it will be announced tomorrow that i have been disfellowshipped... can they do this???.

  Take your self respect and ditch those clowns. Rattle thier cage a little, that's all you'll do I'm sure. A stacked deck don't ya know. That's why I "wasonceanelder" and am not now. Lets just say I never served on a committee without fighting tooth and nail to stop the lynching. I avoided serving on committees because they were so screwed. Only one person was ever disfellowshipped when I was on a committee and that was because they told us to fornicate ourselves. I thought at the time, Fly away little bird!

  Today's speaker - statistics re terrorism

  according to today's speaker: up till 1971 there had only been 24 people killed by terrorists.

  by 1983 there had been 17,000 and it's still on the rise.

  my question: what is the definition of terrorism?

  Be straightforward and honest with them. You do not want to continue studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. If they ask why just tell them the truth. Tell them you would like to be thier friend regardless.

  Kristi died about 30 mins. ago

  for those of yall that didn't know, kristi was a 37-yr-old ms patient that i took care of for the last year of her life.

  she had a wonderful ribald sense of humor and talked like a sailor at times.

  but it was all to cover up the ultra-sweet and tender heart she had.

  After my Mom's debilitating heart attack we took care of her for six months before she died in front of us as she was readying to leave the hospital after her last stay to have the water taken of her system. (Congestive heart failure.) If you experienced even a part of the satisfaction we had in caring for our mother when looking after the needs of Kristi you are one of the richest people to be known. It is one of the most draining, heartbreaking events a person can experience. Even as you know she was at peace with your expressions of loving kindness your heart was breaking. Now it’s done. All we know for sure is that Kristi doesn't need the help you were giving any longer. That in itself brings an exhaustion you didn't know was there.

  I know that her expressions of thanks echo in your ears and heart. Sleep well Frannie and know that others able to say it for Kristi are saying Thank You.

  In honor of all our family members and friends who slowly slipped into death as we cared for them and held them close,

  Thank you Frannie.

  You really nailed it. It was that very hierachy that turned me off. As I was given more "privileges" people treated me different. Even the words out of these brothers in various positions made me feel there was a double standard and duplicity to thier actions. When a friend came to me after the district convention where I was assigned to announce a release and said, "Well, you're up there with the big boys now" I cringed and decided it was time to jump ship. Was disgusted.

  I was no different than everyone else, accept of course for my questioning ways.
